![]() In the 2nd Hex Girls song in Witch's Ghost, have you noticed the lyrics don't actually mention water? I thought it was supposed to be about wiccans and the 4 elements but the main line is "earth, wind, fire and air", so essentially, air twice. I love all of them so i can't give you a tier list.Įdit: I just need to ask this cause it keeps bothering me though. Director: Jim Stenstrum Stars: Scott Innes, Mary Kay Bergman, Frank Welker, B.J. It also took a great in depth look at the characters psyche, allowing us to take a look at aspects we don't see in the cartoons like Velma doubting her usefulness and envying Shaggy's aloufness, Shaggy feeling incompetent and a drag on the team etc. Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Gang visit Oakhaven, Massachusetts to seek strange goings on involving a famous horror novelist and his ancestor who is rumored be a witch. But in the movies they made full use of her martial arts skills (which are only verbally referred to in the cartoons) to protect her friends, buy time and even save the day in the 1st movie, she is actually involved in the process of reconfiguring the disc panel and she is very chill, giving Velma a make over and allowing Scooby to wear her clothes without being irritated by it. The cartoons make Daphne seem like she is there for decorative purposes and barely offers anything to the team. Actual supernatural, a variety of monsters we have seen in the cartoons, great actors, good humour, and they finally did Daphne justice. Scooby Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed: Arguably the best SD live action by a long shot. It's just a very nice SD movie but can't for the love of me tell you why. Scooby Doo Cyber Chase: I can't really put my hand on that one, but i found it fascinating back then how the magnet kept the ghost away. Scooby Doo and the Witch's Ghost: This one will also have a special place in my heart because aside from having a surprise moment in the end, where they act like the fake ghost was all there was to it only to top it off with a real witch's ghost, it also featured the 2 most memorable songs from the Hex Girls AND also had the Tome of Doom (the book) which caused me such enormous excitement because at the same time i was also playing the PS2 game "SD: Mystery Mayhem!" where that book is your tool for capturing the loose ghosts and monsters. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island: One of the few early films where the threat was real (actual zombies and werewolves). I have a top 4 but in no particular order: I checked out the Zombie Island sequel out of curiosity and loathed it. Scoob is okay and I have kind of negative feelings on the live action films, but after all they're not my Scooby Doo I guess, so of course. But I doubt a revisit would benefit it any. It's absolutely seeped in them from what I recall. I think I rank Reluctant Werewolf the highest among those because I appreciate the 50s B movie vibes. The three below I'm not big on but they were some of the ones I watched the most back then so that's worth something. I think Alien Invaders and Witch's Ghost are pretty respectable as well, albeit not deserving of anything on that level. ![]() I'm probably Zombie Island's biggest cheerleader and advocate for some sort of reevaluation as a bona fide horror classic. I haven't seen as many, so with that said.
